After almost a span of six years, Madhuri Dixit will be seen on screen in her upcoming film, DedhIshqiya. She admitted recently that the world is a male-dominated place, and it is upon a woman how to create her niche. The ‘dhak-dhak’ girl says, “The whole world is male-dominated, not just this industry. There will be his difference, but it is up to a woman to make her mark for herself and fight for her rights.”
“Woman has to work two times harder than men to prove herself again and again. That is the reality of life. But whatever you get in return is much more satisfying,” added the actress who has impressed the audiences by some of her hit films, Dil Toh Pagal Hai and Devdas.
Madhuri Dixit The Dancing Queen
Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, DedhIshqiya is a sequel to the 2010-hit film, Ishqiya. Filmmaker, Vishal Bharadwaj who also produced its prequel, produces DedhIshqiya. The star cast of the film includes Arshad Warsi, Naseeruddin Shah, Madhuri Dixit and Huma Qureshi.

The costume designer, PayalSaluja, designs the look and costumes of Madhuri Dixit in the film. Payal took almost three to four months in finalizing the fabric and jewelry for Madhuri Dixit, who plays the character of a Begum in the film. Saluja has done styling in some great films like Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola and Raanjhana that styling the ‘dhakdhak girl’ was tedious.
DedhIshqiya would be the first film of Madhuri Dixit after she shifted her base to India in 2011. Naseeruddin Shah and ArshadWarsi are retained from the original make, Ishqiya. HumaQureshi is also seen in a supporting role, which was earlier offered to Asin who declined the role in a supporting role. Kangana signed the film later but discreetly opted out stating date issues. Madhuri Dixit is starred opposite Naseeruddin Shah, whereas Huma is paired with ArshadWarsi in the film.
On asking her the secret of her beauty, Madhuri reveals, “Discipline is the biggest secret. There is no other secret than discipline. My diet, lifestyle, and my habits… I have no bad habits… all these things reflect on your face and body.”
We do not know how will the film do at the box office but we ensure you that Madhuri Dixit is all set to woo her fans with her beauty.
The film is slated to release on 31st January 2014.
