If someone sets out to write it, then Ali Zafar’s biography would make for a very interesting read. He is the master of not one but many talents. He was born in Pakistan’s Punjab province; both his parents were professors at The University of Punjab in Pakistan. After completing his graduation in Arts, he started working as a sketch artist at Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore.
A self confessed anxious guy, he couldn’t hold his anxiousness to explore what is out there and thus, he set out to become a model, after that a singer and musician and, currently, he is an actor. He covered this long journey, transforming from one to another kind of artist with equal zeal and confidence.

He married Ayesha Fazil, his long-time fiancée on 28 July 2009 in an Islamic wedding ceremony in Lahore. He now has a baby of 4 years, named Azaan.
Ali Zafar made his debut as a musician in ‘Huqa Pani’ a Pakistani album, released in 2003. The song ‘Channo’ in this album was his first single and is considered to be one of the greatest hits of Pakistan till date.
Ali Zafar Steps into Bollywood
Ali Zafar made his Bollywood debut with the box-office hit ‘Tere Bin Laden’ in 2010. Amongst critical praise and fanfare, he got nominated for Best Male Debut Award at Filmfare Awards. In 2012, he won the Stardust award in Superstar of Tomorrow-Male category. Till date, he has starred in 6 Bollywood movies including Tere Bin Laden, Luv Ka The End, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, London, Paris, New York, Chashme Baddoor and Total Siyappa. Till now, his characters have largely been on the lines of a lover boy image. But he is out to change all that with his next release ‘Kill Dil’, an action-thriller in which he plays a man from Kanpur. He also plans to write screenplays and dialogues for his movies in the future.
In a recent controversy, it was claimed that Himesh Reshammiya stole tunes from Ali Zafar’s song ‘Dillagi Mein Jo’, which is a song from his hit album ‘Rangeen’.
Ali Zafar’s Style
In a recent poll in 2013, he was voted the ‘Sexiest Asian Man on the Planet’ by Britain’s daily newspaper ‘Eastern Eyes’.
recent interview, Ali Zafar has said that he loves to dress up in jeans and T-shirts or formal shirts; it all depends on the occasion. It gives him a more relaxed feeling.
