Watch out for the hottest person you may just spot on a Highway (pun intended), it is the very macho and multitalented actor Randeep Hooda. At 37 years, Randeep is an actor, sportsperson, blogger, a social activist, and theatre artist born to a family of doctors. As a kid, Randeep was always short tempered which contributed greatly in this temperament to become an actor today.
Randeep has a Master Degree in Marketing, Business Management and Human Resource Development from Melbourne. To make ends meet in a foreign country, Randeep took to odd jobs like driving and washing cars and assisting tables at restaurants.
In 2000, he graduated and returned to India in search of a job. It is admirable how Randeep Hooda worked as a marketer for an airline company and also balanced parallel jobs in modeling and theatre. During the rehearsal of his first play, he got a call from Mira Nair, who wished to audition him for a part in ‘Monsoon Wedding’. The highway had just begun for Randeep Hooda, who was on this way to becoming one of the most critically acclaimed actors in the B-town.
What’s noteworthy is that Randeep’s tryst with Australia actually helped him play his very first Bollywood character as an Australian. But as luck would have it, Randeep almost waited for four years to do another film in the industry, and meanwhile worked as a model and theatre artist.
Known to be a chameleon of an actor, who slips into any role easily, Randeep was highly praised in his performance for Ram Gopal Varma’s‘D’, apparently inspired by the life of Dawood Ibrahim. The highlight of his career began with the role he portrayed in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’ of an ACP alongside Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi. Critics simply drooled over his strong screen presence and dialog delivery and post the film, Randeep enjoyed serious and better work as an actor.
What to watch out for in 2014:
Randeep’s amazing chemistry with Alia in Highway, his reason of kidnapping and falling in love with her. This new film based on the life of Charles Sobhraj.
