
Raveena Tandon has been away from the arc lights for some time now. However, she has been busy pursuing her other vocations with renewed zeal.
The actress launched her new jewellery line, DIVAA with Designer, Roopa Vohra on October18, 2013.
Ravina Tandon looked quite comfortable in her new role of a connoisseur of jewels at the launch of the DIVAA flagship store at Juhu. The launch party was a star-studded event with many celebrities turning up in support of Ravina’s new venture. Incidentally, DIVAA is read as ‘Diva’, which is synonymous for a woman who portrays poise, strength and style.
Roopa Vohra is a well-known name in the field of Indian Jewellery. She is known for her designs in thewa and kundan jewellery. She has also developed Nagaashi, her own method of embossing gold on glass. She has also designed jewellery for many actresses and celebrities in Mumbai.
The actress explains her foray into jewelery designing thus, “The festive season in India is so very special – it’s that time of the year when everyone has a reason to celebrate! Be it Diwali, Karva Chauth or a family wedding – women just need an excuse to dress up and look beautiful! Every year, Roopa and I would sit together and design something for my personal collection. I was really encouraged by this and so we decided to design a collection together!
