Chitrangada Singh comes from a Hindu Jat family and is a sibling to the golfer Digvijay Singh and is married to golfer Jyoti Singh Randhawa. Talking about her film career, she has done films like ‘DesiBoyz’, ‘I Me Aur Main’, ‘Inkaar’, ‘Yeh Saali Zindagi’ etc. which failed to make a mark at the box office; but Chitrangada singh has always attracted attention for bearing a striking resemblance to the legendary actress SmitaPatil. During her modelling days she featured in ads, for Alukkas Jewellery and ICICI bank and is also the brand ambassador for Borges Olive Oil, Parachute, Taj Mahal Tea, Puma, Airtel, etc. Though Chitrangada has not had a very delightful journey in Bollywood, she is still a noted name when it comes to Bollywood fashion events and ramp walks.

Known for her subtle yet unique fashion sense, Chitrangada is a regular at fashion extravaganzas. She set tongues wagging when she walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week 2013 for Gaurang. The theme being ‘Gulbadan’ that focused on the Rajasthani and Lucknowi hand work, Chitrangada singh in saree looked elegant draped in a black Rajasthani sari which had kota work embroidered throughout. At the event, she was vocal about her new found love for Indian craftsmen and their hand woven sarees. Chitrangada’s style and Gaurang’s passion for the classy embroidery designs & Patterns won hearts at the event. Due to the ease with which Chitrangada Singh manages to carry outfits of all genres, she was signed on for gracing the ramp for the prestigious India Bridal Fashion Week. The grand fashion week showcased some of the finest works by the leading designers. Chitrangada looked radiant in the red coloured flowy dress by Tarun Tahiliani, with her hair tied up baring the wonderful neck piece.

Chitrangada Singh has also been seen in the international circuit recently with other Bollywood beauties. In 2013, Chitrangada Singh was a debutante at the Paris Fashion Week on behalf of Christian Dior. A svelte dusky beauty that she is, she looked gorgeous in the pale pink outfit as she was seated in the front row of the Ready-to-wear event. With her tresses trapped in a French roll she looked every bit of a diva except the amber hue of her dangling earrings that did not go well with the light shade of her dress.
